Generation Why?
In this section, we talk to young people about their faith - why they believe what they believe, and how they talk about the Catholic faith with their friends (or if they do at all!). We also include some inspirational talks that you can listen to and download.

Meet Camilo Cordoba.
The younger of two brothers, Camilo, 20, was born and raised in the Spanish-speaking Colombia (considered the world capital of salsa music!). In July 2009, he packed his clothes and guitar and hopped on a plane to Australia. “I still remember, I kissed my momma and daddy goodbye, got on the plane crying and listened to the song I’m Yours (by Jason Mraz) on my iPod. I was terrified!”
He is currently studying Multimedia, Printing and Graphic Arts and works part-time in the AOY office. One of Camilo’s projects in the office is Speak Spanish with Camilo, a series of basic Spanish classes for pilgrims to download in the lead up to the next World Youth Day in Madrid, Spain. Here, Camilo shares his thoughts on being a young Catholic.
